So, Senshi had an apartment now. A huge apartment, one far bigger than his actual needs. So big he was mostly camping out in the dining room next to the kitchen because there was just so much empty space he didn't really know what to do with it. Even the kitchen was a bit intimidating, not in the least because it was - like everything else - built for Tall-Men and elves, with no consideration for the shorter races. The only place he really felt comfortable was the balcony, and he was already considering how to get a nice garden set up there.
But today after his pizza class, Senshi found himself and his step ladder finally getting the kitchen set up properly. Normally, he would be ashamed for it to have taken this long, but he'd been distracted by trying to figure out the conundrum his class presented to him. On the one hand, it was a class about going into the dungeon, killing monsters, and making food from them. On the other hand, dungeons were very dangerous, especially for children, not to mention the time it would take for them to find monsters, kill them, learn about them, and then cook them far surpassed the amount of time allotted for class.
It had been quite a conundrum, at least until this weekend when he'd discovered that he could go back into the dungeon when he wished; there was a door in the castle that led right back to where he'd come out in the first place. He'd given some thought to just staying there - he had a perfectly good home right there on the third floor anyway, but he'd decided that for at least as long as he was teaching, he should stay on the island where it was safer.
...He had brought his house back with him, if only to keep the dungeon cleaners from eating it up any more than they already had.
Right now, he felt as close to normal as he likely would on this island - he had all of his belongings with him, he'd done some monster hunting earlier in the day, and now the kitchen was redolent with the scent of simmering soup.
A simple life, but a good one.
